PUY DE DOME

For P Day on Monday, October 21, 2013 we took the missionaries to
see this famous Volcano Mountain Top. You can hike to top, but we
did not have enough time (or probably enough energy). We took a 20 minute
train ride. What we found and you can see is a most extensive communications
center. There are so many satellite dishes, you almost couldn't count them all. But we did find
a most interesting fact. . . . . .

there was a temple foundation here.

On this highest spot for miles around, there was a temple!
Not a church or castle, but a TEMPLE!

District Meeting in Lyon & Church on the Hill

Great District Meeting in Lyon - October 17, 2013

Driving Home from Lyon -

It's about 175 Kilometers from Clermont-Ferrand,

We put the GPS on NO TOLLS and just let it take us through the country.

As we are driving home (the long way), we see this Church just off the road.

You can only drive part way up this hill, the rest of
the way is a hike though a beautiful vineyard.
But, it's a beautiful day!

another balcony out the back where we see the mountains of the Puy-de-dome.
